Meet the Optimizer Smart Mini
The Optimizer delivers precisely timed electrical signals through leads connected to the heart. CCM aims to improve contraction strength and may help with symptoms, everyday activity, and quality of life.
The Smart Mini does not provide pacemaker or defibrillator functions. Your physician will assess whether you also need a separate rhythm device.
Is CCM right for me?
A decision based on your heart failure assessment
U.S. labeling describes use in patients with NYHA class III heart failure, an ejection fraction of 25–45%, and ongoing symptoms despite guideline-directed medication, who are not indicated for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT).
Your care team reviews your symptoms, imaging, medications, and other devices. CCM complements your treatment plan; continue prescribed medicines unless your clinician changes them.

Living with CCM
A rechargeable system
The implant has a rechargeable battery. The Vesta Charger replenishes it through the skin. Your team will teach you how to position the charger, follow your charging schedule, and respond to alerts.
Keep your follow-up appointments and carry your device identification card. Follow the instructions supplied with your own system.
Before deciding on an implant
Implantation involves a pocket beneath the skin and leads placed through a vein. Risks include bleeding, infection, lead movement, and injury to the heart or lung. Ask your physician about expected benefits, alternatives, and risks in your situation.
